My lessons, which follow the Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) syllabus, provide you with the knowledge and understanding you need when writing your examinations. I recommend that you also buy a copy of Chris Hinton’s and John Hite’s Weimar & Nazi Germany. As textbooks go, this is a very good one. It provides breadth, depth and a lot of primary sources. There are many good exercises that you can do on your own to get you thinking too. It’s been in print for over twenty years, and you can find many cheap used copies out there. For those who really love their history and want to excel, I think you should buy a copy of William L. Shirer’s Rise and Fall of the Third Reich. This fantastic book has never been out of print. It is still the best work on Hitler’s regime in my opinion. Read my book review if you don’t believe me.
For each of my video lessons, I provide corresponding pages to read from Hite & Hinton and Shirer. I also suggest you take “smart” notes. For many lessons, I also provide my own materials or provide links to other resources.
