Description
My lessons, which follow the Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) syllabus, provide you with the knowledge and understanding you need when writing your examinations. I recommend that you also buy a copy of Michael Lynch’s Stalin’s Russia, 1924-53. As textbooks go, this is a good one. It provides a lot of depth for a slim textbook. For those who really love their history and want to excel, I think you should buy a copy of Geoffrey Hosking’s A History of the Soviet Union. This is a fine overview of Soviet history and has been in print since the 1980s. There are many cheap, used copies out there.
For each of my video lessons, I provide corresponding pages to read from Lynch and Hosking. I also suggest you take “smart” notes. For many lessons, I also provide my own materials or provide links to other resources.
